Terms of use
Effective 23 September 2026 · Murrics is operated by Murrics Technology
In short: Murrics is for parents and guardians. You upload your child's handwritten work, and our AI suggests marks and feedback. The AI can be wrong, so treat a mark as a suggestion and dispute anything that looks off. You own your child's work; we use it only to run the service for you. Paid plans are paid in advance for a period, and we never charge your card automatically.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Murrics ("Murrics", "we", "us") is operated by Murrics Technology, a sole proprietorship owned by Rajesh Tripathi, based at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
These terms govern your use of the website at murrics.com, the Murrics web app and installable app, and every feature in them (together, the "Service"). By signing in you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy and Refund & cancellation policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who may use Murrics
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. There are two kinds of account, and which one you hold changes what you are responsible for:
- A parent account, for a parent or legal guardian using Murrics for their own children.
- A tutor account, for a private tutor or coaching centre using Murrics for the students they teach. See section 6.
Children and students never have accounts of their own, and never sign in.
On a parent account you may add a child and upload their work only if you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or you have that person's permission. By adding a child you confirm you have the authority to consent, on the child's behalf, to the processing described in our Privacy policy.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account; we do not issue or store passwords for parents. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for everything done through your Murrics account. Tell us at support@murrics.com straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Please keep the details you give us — your name and your children's class and board — accurate, because the evaluation depends on them.
4. What the Service does
You photograph or upload handwritten answer sheets, homework and tests. The Service reads the handwriting, compares each answer with a question paper, answer key or rubric, and gives suggested marks, feedback, reports, progress analytics and practice material. It can also generate practice papers from the syllabus.
For CBSE Classes 5 to 12, topics are mapped to the published syllabus. For other boards, you describe the topic yourself. Murrics is not affiliated with or endorsed by CBSE, NCERT or any other board or school.
5. Tutor accounts
A tutor account is for teaching other people's children, so it carries obligations a parent account does not. If you hold one, the following apply to you.
You are responsible for the permission to use each student's work. The consent that makes this lawful is the one their parent or guardian gives you — we have no relationship with those families and cannot collect it on your behalf. By adding a student or uploading their work you confirm that:
- you have told the student's parent or guardian that their child's work is being marked by an AI service, and who provides it;
- you have their permission to upload that work, and to share the resulting report with them;
- you will stop uploading a student's work, and remove what you have uploaded, if that permission is withdrawn.
You decide what happens to your students' data; we act on your instructions. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the Data Fiduciary for your students' personal data and we are a Data Processor acting for you. We use it only to run the Service for you, and to meet our own legal obligations. Our Privacy policy sets out how we hold it, for how long, and how to have it exported or deleted.
What you send to a parent is your decision. Nothing reaches a family until you review it and release it. You are responsible for what you send, including any marks or comments you have edited, and for making sure each family receives only their own child's work.
Handing a child's history to their parent. You may offer a parent a copy of their child's record. If they accept, they receive their own copy in their own account, which is theirs from then on: it survives you closing your account, and deleting your record later does not delete theirs. Offer it only where the parent would expect you to, and only for a child you are entitled to teach.
You may not use a tutor account for children you do not teach, share one account between unconnected businesses, or upload a student's work after being asked to stop.
If a parent contacts us directly about a student on your account, we will normally tell them to contact you, because the record is yours — except where the law requires us to act ourselves.
6. AI evaluation has limits
Marks and feedback are produced by artificial-intelligence models. They are designed to be accurate and to flag uncertainty, but they can be wrong — especially with unclear handwriting, poor photographs, diagrams, or answers the rubric does not anticipate.
- Treat every mark as a suggestion to help your child learn, not as an official or final result. It does not replace a teacher, a school, or a board examination.
- If a page is too blurred or dark to read, we ask for a retake rather than guess. Answers the AI is unsure about are held for review instead of being marked.
- You can dispute any mark from the report with "This looks wrong", and a person will read the answer again. Please do.
- Please do not use the Service as the only basis for decisions with serious consequences for a child, such as admissions or promotion.
7. Your content
You and your child keep all rights in the work you upload, and in the reports made from it ("Your content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, process and display Your content only to provide the Service to you — for example, to read and mark a sheet, keep your history, and produce your reports. We do not sell Your content, and we do never use it to train models of our own.
If you create a share link to a report or card, anyone with that link can view it until you revoke it or it expires. Share only with people you trust.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload work or personal data of a child you are not authorised to act for;
- upload anything unlawful, obscene, or that infringes someone else's rights, including copyrighted question papers you are not allowed to copy;
- use the Service to cheat in an examination or to present AI output as a child's own assessed work where that is not allowed;
- try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service, or get around its usage limits;
- resell or give others access to your account.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, as described in section 12.
9. Plans, prices and payment
Murrics has a free plan and paid plans, for parents and for tutors. What each plan includes — the number of children or students, the evaluations and papers per month, and the price — is shown on the pricing section of our website and in your account before you pay. One evaluation is one answer sheet, however many pages it has.
Tutor plans are banded by how many students you teach. If you outgrow your band, move up from Plan & billing; we will not bill you for a higher band without you choosing it, and we do not charge per student on top of the band.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your full card or bank details.
- A paid plan is paid in advance for a month or a year. We do not store your card or charge you automatically. Your plan's end date is shown under Billing. If you do not pay again, your account moves to the free plan after a 7-day grace period. Your history is kept.
- Unused evaluations do not carry over to the next month.
- We may change prices or plan allowances. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
- Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund & cancellation policy.
10. Using your own AI key
Where offered, you may connect your own account with an AI provider. Evaluations then run on that key, the provider bills you directly, and that provider's terms apply to that processing. We store your key encrypted, use it only for your evaluations, and never show it back in full.
11. Referral rewards
If we run a referral programme, its rewards are credits for use within Murrics only. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be withdrawn if obtained by self-referral or other abuse. We may change or end the programme at any time; credits already earned will be honoured for the period we state when they are given.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, the Murrics name and logo, and the content we create (such as generated practice papers and syllabus maps, but not Your content) belong to us or our licensors. You may use generated practice material for your own family's learning. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the Service or its content otherwise.
13. Suspension and closing your account
You may stop using Murrics and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@murrics.com. What happens to your data then is set out in our Privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to. Except in urgent cases, we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond. If we close a paid account without it being your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep Murrics available and your data safe, but we do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that a paid plan was sold on, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused part of your period.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Apart from what these terms say expressly, the Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made on the basis of AI-suggested marks.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or your rights as a consumer.
16. Governing law, disputes and grievances
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most problems are solved quickly. Our Grievance Officer is Rajesh Tripathi, reachable at support@murrics.com; we acknowledge a grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
Subject to your rights under consumer protection law, the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For a material change we will tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Murrics after that means you accept the new terms.
